Curbing Meth

Yesterday, the Oregon House voted 55-4 to pass a bill that would require a doctors prescription to buy over-the-counter cold medicines such as Claritan-D and Sudafed. These are some images I shot for this story for Getty Images.

Meth is a bad bad thing. Already in Oregon, Cold Pills are stored behind the Pharmacy counter and require an ID check and log book to buy, now it is going to be even more a pain in the neck...but....it's worth it if it helps to curb this problem. Every single day on the news, you hear of Meth addicts stealing or killing or something just to get the drug. Very sad. The bill nows moves to the Senate, where it is expeected to pass and the Gov. will then sign it into law.
