Ducks

Oregon's Adam Zahn has his shot blocked by Portland's Ben Sullivan in the first half of the Pilots 80-72 win over the Ducks.

I've shot 2 Oregon games this year and they sucked in both of them....either they are a horrible team, or I am bad luck....I'm leaning towards #1.....

These boots are made for walking.....

WARNING: if you leave me alone to shop for Christmas presents, I will end up buying way too much stuff for Jordyn!
Went into a western store and saw these pink cowboy boots, just starring at me, how could I NOT buy them? Then, I was at Old Navy and found the skirt and top, I can barely dress myself, but I can find clothes for the kid all day.

Daddy's girl

My buddy John Gress is in town and this morning he, Jordyn and I went to breakfast...afterwards, he was kind enough to come to my studio and shoot this photo of Jordyn and I, which will be used for part of Jenn's Xmas gift....shhhhhhh, don't tell. About an hour after this was shot, Jordyn and I were at the mall and passed a kiosk that pierced ears....so....I thought we'd surprise Jenn and get Jordyn some earrings. Poor thing cried a bit and I felt really, really bad, but she is so way cute and it was worth it! Jenn did not exactly have the reaction i was hoping for, instead she cried and was pissed at me for a while, but she's over it and now realizes it was a good idea :).

New Coach

A quick and dirty portrait of Portland Timbers new head coach Chris Agnello. I shot this right after the press conference announcing him as the new coach and GM.

Jordyn's Hog

So the other day I was out in Beaverton for a shoot and stopped by the Tigard Harley store. It was there I saw the perfect item for Jordyn. She loves it. We say "Jordyn, go ride your motorcycle" and she climbs on and rocks away. Today we took her bike into the studio for a quick photo.

Palm Pilots

I spent the last two days traveling to various schools in the Eugene and Roseburg areas working on a story for a magazine about palm pilots in schools. I visited the Riddle School District, the Eugene School District and the Cresswell School District, all of whom received a federal technology grant to purchase palm pilots for use in the classrooms. This photo was shot at Creslane Elementary in Cresswell in a second grade classroom. Each student is issued a palm pilot there and they are used for reading, math, spelling and many other things, including typing, yes typing, in SECOND GRADE! Wow. I was very impressed. This little guy is really getting into his work!

A year of Blogs

It has been exactly one year since I started this blog. I'm glad I did, its a fun way to look back on the year, my friends and family enjoy it, clients enjoy it and I enjoy it too. Looking forward to another year.

Snowboarding

Today my little sister Ali and I went up to Mt. Hood Meadows to go snowboarding. I forgot a camera though....but it was very fun. Calm, Clear, COLD. the snow was just OK, packed powder and it has not snowed in a few days, so not the best, but certainly not the worst, overall a fun time. I'm shooting a wedding at Meadows next weekend, so I'm going to take my board with me and get some runs in before the wedding....I consider today a "location scouting" day. :)

Toy Run

Today Jenn, my Mom, her boyfriend Bruce and I went on the Toy Run. Basically, 2500 bikes all parade through downtown with a police escort, then end up at the Shriners hospital, where everyone gives toys for the sick children at Christmas. Great cause and great fun too. Seeing the look on everyone's face as they stand on the street corner stuck and waiting for that many Harley's to come rumbling through is pretty cool. The photo above is only half the bikes that were there, my little digital point and shoot couldn't get them all in, but check out this video I shot to see just how many bikes were there. This is a photo of Bruce my Mom and Jenn:

Jenn shot this while we were going through downtown:
and finally, my mom shot this of Jenn and I as we were riding:
Oh yeah, the rain stayed away the entire ride, except the last 20 minutes on the way home, we got soaked, but at least it was only the last part of the day. On an unrelated, but still fun note, my sister Ali is in town. She is in the Air Force stationed in Germany, so its been a while since we've seen her. To put a perfect end on a perfect day, we went bowling, this is me teaching Jordyn how its done:
