Back on Track

Since this blog has been all Harley all the time the last two weeks, thought I'd get back on track....I shot a wedding last Saturday in Seattle and it was really, really cool. The ceremony was on a huge floating dock right on Lake Union.
We also shot some photos at Gasworks Park, I'd never been there before, what a cool place that is! Anyway, it was a great wedding and I just LOVE Seattle.

Rain Sucks

ok...so it rained over an inch here in Portland today. Normally, I love the rain, but, when I have the day off and a bike just begging to go for a ride, the rain sucks.

More of my Harley

I've been waiting for some nice light to shoot my bike in, but for now, this will have to do.

Bad to the bone

Finally! I finally bought my dream bike. 2006 Harley Davidson Road King Custom. I have not driven my car in about a week now. I even put dividers int he saddle bags so i can fit a couple of lenses and bodys on one side, and a light stand and flash and softbox on the other side so I can ride it to shoots. More, much more photos of the new HOG to come soon.

Riding, Riding, more riding

So, I rented a Harley this week. I've been riding 150+ miles a day for the last 3 days. Fun as hell. Can't wait until I get my own bike. This is me on my rented Road King Classic after shooting portraits of bikers during a ride past Mt. Hood this morning....here is one group:

A lot to Blog about.....

If you read this blog regularly, you have noticed that there have not been any posts in a while. That's because its been crazy busy, but have no fear, there are 5 new entries today. Enjoy!

New Edition

Our family got even larger on Monday as my little sister Lisa gave birth to her second child, Brookelyne Marie. Weighing in at a teeny tiny 6lbs 12oz, she makes Jordyn look HUGE. Baylee so far loves being a big sister and is very protective of her....she will not let any boys hold her (I have not even held the kid yet) and if someone even looks at her cross eyed, Baylee is in thier grill making she everyone is nice to baby Brookelyne. Here are a few photos from the last couple days and at the hospital.....

HOGS ON HOOD

Next weekend is the Oregon HOG (Harley Owners Group) rally up on Mt. Hood. I'm pretty excited as I will be renting a bike and riding all weekend long. I am also going to setup on a road were there is going to be a ride in the morning and shoot portraits of people along the way with Mt. Hood in the background, then sell prints to the bikers, so Monday i went up to scout a spot. Should be good.

Birthday Princess

Jordyn will be 1 in a little over a month. Damn, how times flies. Yesterday we shot some photos of her in the "Birthday Princess" outfit Jenn bought for her. These photos will go on her party invites. Damn cute if you ask me.

Season Over :(

Yesterday was the final game of the season. It was a blast playing ball with all my buddies from HS once again. We were in the last game until they had a 9 run 7th, including a grand slam by a guy who was larger than any human I have ever seen. So, we finished 5-5. Not too bad. Can't wait until next summer.

3 in 1

Busy Weekend. Shot 3 weddings in 3 days. Here are the proofbook covers:

Nerd?

I'm bored so I took this test that Erik Bishoff had on his blog....I am nerdier than 9% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

5-4

Our softball team is 5-4. After a 3 week layoff from any games, we started back up Wed and won 22-20. I was 4-5. Player of the game was Andy, who had 9 or 10 unassisted putouts at first base. One game to go.

Dream Come True

It's always been a dream to have my own studio/office. I've been working from home forever now and while I love it, with Jordyn more and more mobile and into more and more stuff each day, meeting with clients at my house is becoming less and less an ideal situation. Thanks to a building/studio owned by Tim Park, I now have my very own studio! Part of Tim's building is a space about the size of a garage, maybe a bit bigger, but it is totally speperate from his studio and has its own entry, alarm, etc....I am considering moving my office down there as well, but right now I will use the space mainly to meet with clients which I do a couple times a week and to shoot head shots and seniors, etc....I only do that a couple times a month. Its a fantastic space and I am very excited about it. I even got my name on the door, how cool is that????
